OUTLINE – Valhalla as a Test, How Live Service Can Work, Too Much of a Good Thing
xfire reported… Assassin’s Creed Infinity is the codename for Ubisoft’s “upcoming, early in-development project”.
Bloomberg was the first to report on the details about Assassin’s Creed Infinity on Wednesday, July 7. Later on in the same day, Ubisoft confirmed that Assassin’s Creed Infinity is in the works. The French video game company describes Infinity as part of its new “collaborative, cross-studio structure” between two studios. Specifically, Ubisoft Quebec and Ubisoft Montreal.
Ubisoft claims that this collaboration will help “guide, grow, evolve, and define the overall future of Assassin’s Creed.”
Ubisoft’s own statement was light on the details about Infinity. However, Bloomberg’s report claims that Infinity will be a live-service game. It describes it as something that will continue to grow and evolve post-launch.
A Ubisoft spokesperson told Bloomberg that the goal is to “exceed the expectations of fans who have been asking for a more cohesive approach.”
